1991 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur LWB

The 1991 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur is a distinguished British luxury saloon that represents the traditional craftsmanship and effortless elegance for which Rolls-Royce is renowned. Built on the long-wheelbase platform of the Silver Spirit, the Silver Spur was designed with an emphasis on exceptional comfort, refinement, and rear-seat space.

Power comes from Rolls-Royces legendary 6.75-liter naturally aspirated V8, delivering strong low-speed torque and remarkably smooth performance. Depending on production date, 1991 examples could be equipped with either a three-speed or later four-speed automatic transmission. The Silver Spur II also featured advanced-for-its-time technology such as fuel injection, anti-lock brakes, and Automatic Ride Control, helping provide its famously smooth and controlled ride.

Inside, the cabin showcases classic Rolls-Royce luxury, with richly finished wood veneers, supple leather upholstery, deep carpeting, and carefully crafted details throughout. The spacious rear compartment reflects the cars chauffeur-oriented design, providing passengers with generous legroom and a quiet, comfortable environment.

Externally, the Silver Spur is instantly recognizable by its imposing upright grille, Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, formal proportions, chrome detailing, and long-wheelbase profile. Its understated styling was intentionally designed to convey prestige without relying on aggressive or fashionable design trends.

Today, the 1991 Silver Spur remains an appealing example of traditional Rolls-Royce engineering and craftsmanship. Its combination of a powerful V8, luxurious hand-finished interior, sophisticated suspension, and timeless presence makes it a distinctive classic automobile. For collectors and enthusiasts, originality, service history, mechanical condition, and the quality of the interior are particularly important when evaluating an example.
